Chania is a beautiful city located on the northwestern coast of the island of Crete in Greece. It is the second largest city on the island and is known for its stunning beaches, rich history, and picturesque Old Town.
One of the most iconic landmarks in Chania is the Venetian Harbor, which was built by the Venetians in the 14th century. The harbor is lined with beautiful buildings and is a popular spot for tourists to take photos and enjoy the stunning views. The lighthouse at the end of the harbor is also a must-see attraction.
Chania's Old Town is another popular destination for visitors. The narrow streets are lined with beautiful Venetian and Ottoman-era buildings, many of which have been converted into shops, cafes, and restaurants. The Old Town also features several historic churches and museums, including the Maritime Museum of Crete and the Archaeological Museum of Chania.
The Botanical Park & Gardens of Crete nearby is also a good place to visit, where you can see lots of beautiful flowers.
I stayed at the Samaria Hotel. The room was new, and the location was good. Samaria Hotel is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Chania city.
Overall, Chania is a hidden gem in Greece that offers something for everyone. From the stunning beaches to the rich history and culture, this beautiful city is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Crete.
