Hotel Review: Sheraton Taitung Hotel, Taitung, Taiwan
My First Impressions when entering the hotel
Driving from Taitung Airport to Taitung Sheraton Guishan Hotel takes about 15 minutes. The hotel is located in the city center of Taitung. During weekends, the hotel is conveniently located at the entrance of the night market.
My room
I was upgraded to the Duke Suite on the top floor this time. The room has a great view and you can see the distant green mountains.
Pros and Cons
The hotel's breakfast is served at AliHi buffet restaurant, which is good, with a rich selection, and some local aboriginal dishes to enjoy.
Conclusion
Taitung city center is small, and most of the attractions are located outside the city. If you plan to visit Taitung, it is strongly recommended to rent a car. After breakfast, you can drive to nearby attractions such as Zhiben Forest Recreation Area, Sanxiantai, and Luye Highland.
Driving along the coastline and enjoying the blue sky and the sea is also a great pleasure. I stayed for five days and four nights this time, and next time I want to drive all the way from Taipei along Yilan, Hualien, Taitung, and to Kenting.
I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay when you visit Taitung.
