Five Unique Ways of Eating a Delicious Duck in Yilan, Taiwan.

Travelers from all around the world, if you have the opportunity to come to Taiwan, you can choose to visit Yilan, which is about an hour's drive from Taipei, for two to three days. In addition to beautiful scenery and hot springs, Yilan also has delicious seafood and Cherry Roast Duck!


This restaurant is very popular and often fully booked. If you don't make a reservation in advance, it's unlikely that you will be able to eat there. You need to pay a deposit when making a reservation.


The Red Pavilion Chinese Restaurant's mission is to inherit the essence of traditional cuisine and create delicious dishes. The Cherry Roast Duck at the Silks Place Hotel, created by the Cherry Duck Master Chef Lin Ruiyong, is a unique creative way of cooking roast duck that is only found in Taiwan. It combines local Yilan ingredients and three-star scallions, and is absolutely delicious!


Unique Eating Method

First Bite: Fragrant braised duck platter - duck tongue, duck paw, and duck wing marinated in a special sauce and chilled, with a slightly spicy and salty flavor that melts in your mouth.


Second Bite: Cherry Roast Duck Sushi - juicy duck meat bursting in your mouth, a creative way of eating that you won't find anywhere else, you must try it.


Third Bite: Crispy duck roll with three-star scallion pancakes - local three-star scallions are wrapped in pastry and rolled with tender duck meat, special crispy fried onions, and secret spicy miso, with a full flavor of scallions.


Fourth Bite: Lettuce wrapped shredded duck or Three-Cup Duck Soup - Shredded duck is stir-fried with fresh and sweet apple dices and wrapped in fresh lettuce, crisp and refreshing; Three-Cup Duck Soup is quickly stir-fried at high temperature to dry up the sauce, then stir-fried with basil before serving, every bite can taste the fresh and sweet flavor of duck meat.


Fifth Bite: Slow-cooked cabbage and duck soup - the soup is made by simmering the duck carcass for 10 hours, adding sweet cabbage, duck meat, and duck carcass to simmer and stew, producing a lingering aroma and rich and refreshing soup.


Duck sushi and duck soup are my favorites, and the seafood in the set menu is also delicious. It is a restaurant that I would recommend to my friends to visit.
